Original condition, used, one owner since 1978. It comes from the private collection of a Cologne design gallery that opened in 1975. The owner was a personal friend of Mr. Sottsass, and the bowl was a gift.
EAD as a company is a mystery to me; I can't find anything about them in the literature and I've never seen a catalog. Agliana, Pistoia... Poltronova was also based in this city at one time. I would be very grateful for any further information.
The wood is untreated and the top part, the shell, is made of unpainted sheet steel.
