TWERGI (Vintage)

In 1989, Alessi acquired Piazza Battista, one of the oldest traditional woodturning workshops in the Strona Valley on Lake Orta. Alberto Alessi named the new label Twergi and commissioned Milton Glaser for the corporate identity and some of the most renowned designers and architects to create the product designs. The aim was to bring the traditional technique of woodturning into the present day. The products offered here are all original pieces from this period, not reissues or reprints. Most are completely unused (NOS) or in very good condition.
