Christopher Dresser Officina Alessi tray

90028 Round Tray

Christopher Dresser (1834-1904) was a British designer and botanist. He is considered to be Britain's first professional independent industrial designer. Unlike his contemporaries in the Arts & Crafts Movement, he unreservedly embraced all the challenges of industrial production, without, however, taking away the bold and visionary craftsmanship character of his designs. From 1991, ALESSI re-edited some of his most famous designs at Officina Alessi.
