SQUARED CIRCLE, Ettore Sottsass 1958, REEDITION from 2015
small bowl by Ettore Sottsass, re-edition by DESIGN MEMORABILIA from 2015
In 2015, on the occasion of the World Expo in Milan, DESIGN MEMORABILIA presented its first (and only) collection at the Triennale Design Museum. The initiator of DM, George M. Beylerian, wanted to offer famous Italian designs from all the major designers at affordable prices.
That went thoroughly wrong. After the World Expo in Milan, there was another presentation in 2016 at the MOMA shop in New York. After that, DM closed its doors. In a later interview, George M. Beylerian humorously described that the designers' licenses, among other things, had kept him awake at night.
Design Ettore Sottsass 1958
Edition DESIGN MEMORABILIA 2015
Dimensions approx. 16 x 15.2 cm, 6.6 cm high
Glazed stoneware
the bowls show no signs of use, appear absolutely unused, like new but without original packaging, the item is subject to differential taxation according to § 25a UStG.
