Fabio Bortolani was born in Modena in 1957. After studying architecture in Florence, he initially worked as an architect before beginning his career as an industrial designer in 1990. He founded his own office in Modena and collaborated with companies such as Alessi, Cappellini, Driade, and La Palma.
