ES01 (casserole dish with stand) by Ettore Sottsass, 1994 for ALESSI
An oval, ovenproof casserole dish with a rather magnificent holder. Apparently, not everyone was convinced back then that a kitchen item just had to be practical. How lovely. The holder is not just there to keep you from burning your fingers. No, it also looks damn good. A statement by Mr. Sottsass and ALESSI.
Complex to produce. The result was a high price and, once again, no commercial success. Small production numbers and difficult to find today.
Design Ettore Sottsass 1994
Porcelain dish, stainless steel
Dimensions 37 cm x 26.5 cm, and 12.5 cm high
Ovenproof white casserole dish 300 cl (3 liters)
the item has been used and shows a few typical signs of wear, underneath the dish, difficult to photograph, not visible when in use, subject to margin scheme according to § 25a UStG
