the saucepan
Officina ALESSI
La Cintura Di Orione, a project by Richard Sapper and Officina Alessi, 1984-86, the aim was a series of professional cooking pots, developed together with well-known professional and star chefs (because they know what they are doing). Pierre and Michael Troisgros (father and son) from Roanne, France, helped with this project.
This range of pots developed by Richard Sapper represents a significant innovation in modern cookware. Its key feature, apart from the Richard Sapper design, is the specially developed composite material, a rolled product made of thick copper (2.2 mm), joined (by aluminum) with an inner surface of stainless steel.
This combination of materials unites the excellent thermal conductivity of copper with the hygienic and easy-care surface of stainless steel. The casserole therefore guarantees maximum functionality, durability and precision when cooking - ideal for discerning kitchen professionals and design lovers alike.
