James Irvine (born 1958 in London, died February 18, 2013) studied at the Royal College of Art, London, and in 1984 moved to Milan to work with Ettore Sottsass in the design department of Olivetti. An Englishman in Milan. In 1988, after a year in Japan, Irvine founded his own design studio in Milan and was also a partner at Sottsass Associati from 1993 to 1997. He died far too young in 2013 at the age of 55.

These pepper and salt mills are from TWERGI's first collection. They show very few signs of use. The pepper mill is equipped with a PEUGEOT grinding mechanism. Unfortunately, the original box is missing.

I rescued these mills from display cases. They are not new, but in mint condition. There are very few signs of age... produced around 1989, more than 30 years have passed.
