CIGAR BOX, droog design, Richard Hutten
In 2001, DROOG DESIGN was approached by PICUS from Eindhoven, then the largest cigar box manufacturer, with a proposal to translate traditional production methods and materials into new products. A complete POCKET FURNITURE collection was presented at the Milan Furniture Fair in spring 2001.
Like much of DROOG DESIGN's work, it was a huge media success but generated hardly any commercial sales. Today, the products are highly sought after.
