90047 Ashtray, Ash tray, Aschenbecher, ash bowl with cigarette rest

One of the earlier designs by Marianne Brandt (1893–1983). A hemisphere standing on three triangular feet is covered by a lid. The lid features an off-center cutout for ash. Designed at the Bauhaus in Weimar in 1924. From 1995 onwards, ALESSI produced the ashtray under license from the Bauhaus-Archiv Berlin.
