GENETIC TALES Andrea Branzi for Alessi

These are two vases from the limited series of 99,999 pieces. Each of the 99,999 vases showed a different little face.

Behind this endeavor was the desire to imitate Mother Nature's extraordinary ability to produce millions and millions of faces, always different from each other. Genetic Tales by Andrea Branzi. Both vases are brand new. Never used. With the original box. Unpacked just for the photo.

Andrea Branzi (1938 - 2023) studied architecture in his native Florence. In 1966 he founded Archizoom-Associati with Paolo Deganello, Gilberto Corretti and Massimo Morozzi. The group is considered the founder of anti-design. In 1975 Branzi co-founded and was a member of Studio Alchimia with Ettore Sottsass and Alessandro Mendini.
