One of the earlier designs by Marianne Brandt (1893–1983). Designed in 1924 at the Bauhaus in Weimar. A hemisphere standing on three triangular feet is covered by a lid. The lid has an eccentric cutout for the ashes. ALESSI produced this ashtray under license from the Bauhaus Archive from 1995 onwards.
The official Bauhaus logo is laser-engraved, the ashtray looks like new, unused for its actual function. I took it out of a display case and it comes with the original packaging.
