CIGAR BOX, droog design, Richard Hutten
In 2001, DROOG DESIGN was approached by PICUS from Eindhoven, at that time the largest cigar box manufacturer, with a proposal to translate traditional production methods and materials into new products. In the spring of 2001, a complete collection of POCKET FURNITURE was presented at the furniture fair in Milan.
Like many of DROOG DESIGN's creations, it was a huge success in the media but generated hardly any commercial sales. Today, the products are highly sought after.
