James Irvine (born in London in 1958, died on February 18, 2013) studied at the Royal College of Art in London and moved to Milan in 1984 to work with Ettore Sottsass in Olivetti's design department. An Englishman in Milan. In 1988, after spending a year in Japan, Irvine founded his own design studio in Milan and was also a partner at Sottsass Associati from 1993 to 1997. He died far too young in 2013 at the age of 55.

These pepper and salt mills are from TWERGI's first collection. With very few signs of use. The pepper mill is equipped with a PEUGEOT grinding mechanism. Unfortunately, the original box is not available.

I rescued these mills from display cases. They are not new but are in mint condition. There are very few signs of wear... produced around 1989, more than 30 years ago.
