The Shaker religious community was founded in the 18th century in Manchester, Great Britain. In 1774, the group emigrated to the US state of New York.

Here in Europe, the Shakers are mainly known for their furniture and product designs. Today, the Shaker style is considered an independent and influential contribution to art history. Shaker furniture was already widespread throughout the United States in the 19th century and was also presented at world exhibitions. Its formal austerity, lack of ornamentation, and focus on utility show parallels to the English Arts and Crafts movement and also influenced modernism in architecture and design at the beginning of the 20th century.

I'm buying this candlestick in Denmark! It is now being produced there again with an official license from the Shakers, using traditional casting methods. Made of bronze. I was really happy to find it.

You control the center of gravity of the candle using the height adjustment screw. Nothing wobbles.
