Instructions for use KINTSUGI Repair Kit

Cover your work area with a protective layer (old newspaper). It is a good idea to have a damp cotton cloth handy and some toothpicks for minor corrections. Everything else, such as adhesive lacquer, quick-drying modeling clay for filling larger break holes, gold powder, wooden sticks for applying and mixing, a brush, and gloves, is included in the NEW KINTSUGI set. It is important to thoroughly clean the broken areas and have all the necessary utensils ready.

Squeeze an equal amount of adhesive (two-component adhesive) from each tube. Add a little gold (or silver) powder. Mix it very well.

Apply a generous layer (of the mixed adhesive) to only one side of the crack.

Leave it to work for one to two minutes and allow it to dry, then press both parts firmly together for a few minutes.

When the glue is almost dry but still sticky, apply a generous layer of gold (or silver powder) with the brush. Corrections can be made with a damp cloth or a toothpick. Then let it dry for about 30 minutes before gluing on the next piece (if any).

Use the putty to fill in any missing parts. Cut off a piece of the required size. Knead well until the two components form a homogeneous mass/color.

Fill the gap (the chip) with the kneaded mixture. The mixture, the putty, dries quickly. After modeling, color the area with a layer of adhesive, gold or silver, as described above.

Leave it to rest for two hours, then clean it carefully with a soft sponge and a little washing-up liquid. Leave it to harden completely for another 48 hours. It's ready!
