Cassolette Ø 12 cm, La Cintura Di Orione, Richard Sapper
90106/12 Cassolette, small shallow saucepan
Officina ALESSI
La Cintura Di Orione, a project by Richard Sapper and Officina Alessi, 1984-86, aimed to create a series of professional cookware developed in collaboration with renowned professional and Michelin-starred chefs. Pierre and Michael Troisgros (father and son) from Roanne, France, also contributed to the project.
This cookware series, developed by Richard Sapper, represents a significant innovation in modern cookware. Its defining feature, besides the Richard Sapper design, is the specially developed composite material: a rolled product of thick copper (2.2 mm) bonded (with aluminum) to an inner surface of stainless steel.
This combination of materials unites the excellent thermal conductivity of copper with the hygienic and easy-to-clean surface of stainless steel. This ensures the casserole dish offers maximum functionality, durability, and precision while cooking – ideal for discerning chefs and design enthusiasts alike.
